Founded in 2010, Social: IRL initially focused on education and advocacy, hosting a national series of social, digital, and technology-themed conferences and workshops, including flagship summit events, the Social Business Summit, and the Resilient Summit. After five years and more than one hundred events attended by brands and agencies from across the United States, we shifted focus to serve as a boutique agency partner for a select group of valued clients, with a mission of helping companies better connect with current and future customers using innovative digital media systems and by leveraging digital and consumer technology.

Social: IRL principal Ben Smith has worked with a diverse group of brand clients and nonprofit organizations, both in a digital strategy and media role and in providing client-specific research and analysis on digital and consumer technology trends.
